This week we are considering the humanity of Christ. Jesus Christ was % divine, but he was also % human. This is a mystery, the reality of which was lived out in the life of one we call Jesus the Christ. The Bible, in talking about Christ, says, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation” (Colossians ). sin —so he hates it and cries out against it because it put Christ to death on the cross. He also learns that “the world pas-seth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever” (vv. ), so he desires by grace to do the will of God, which is to walk in “righteousness and true .

God's true Church must base its beliefs totally upon God's inspired word! It must accept the true Christ revealed in the Bible as both Savior and Lord—the One we must obey. Those who fail to do so have come up with hundreds of different, competing denominations—each with different doctrines, practices and concepts of what God is like. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, true God and true man. "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent His Son, made of a woman, made under the law: That He might redeem them who were under the law: That we might receive the adoption of sons.".

If God could have created man with inherent, perfect, Godlike character, He would have assuredly done so. Our Creator is a God of infinite love and mercy. He certainly would not have made the "creature" — and man — subject to "vanity" (to temptation) with the awful potential of sinning and suffering — if this could have been avoided!   I thought this book, as it's title says, will give a true picture of Jesus Christ, unknown to Christianity. It fails to do so. It fails to show the true Jesus Christ and does not separate fact from fiction, as it claims. Rather, it is just another pulpit sermon delivered on Sunday put in a book/5(1).

More than that, he is the only perfect man who has ever lived. But whereas his perfection is often taken for granted and regarded as a given, on the contrary it is a most stupendous achievement unparalleled in salvation history, for it was as a true man and not the trinitarian "God-man" that Jesus became perfect through suffering, obedience 5/5(3).
